Family Ornament
Each year I make a family ornament. Normally I paint a wood ornament and put each family members name on it but this year it was a little different:) Got the idea from local bumper stickers.

Wedding gift
A little back tracking again. I made this plaque for a friend's wedding. Just a little paint, mod podge, scrapbook paper, photos and words (rub on's or cut outs).
Tie shirts
This is a fun EASY project to do. I have gotten a lot of complements at church for these fun shirts:)

Pumpkins
I saw these on line and had to try them. They were a lot of fun and very festive. Nothing more than some felt cut into different shape flowers, a foam ball, some glue, buttons and jewels.
'Tis the Season
It's a little early to be focusing on Christmas but when it comes to crafts many times Christmas things have to start early in the year in order to be done my December. Last year when I had my baby I needed an outlet and this is what resulted. I made manger ornaments. They turned out cute and I love ornaments that depict the real meaning of Christmas.
I work with the 8-11 year old girls in my church and we are working on these ornaments for their parents. It's a lot of fun, a little challenging for the girls since most of them have never sewn before but many of them love it. These were made with a blanket stitch but the girls opted to do a regular stitch and the ornaments still turned out great. They will also be making the card below to go with it.

Angry Birds
I had some left over frosting so I thought I would mess around with it. I have to confess that I made a 3D angry bird but it didn't turn out... my first real cake wreck. It was pretty disappointing (although my kids still loved it) so I made some mini angry birds (cake toppers) for fun. They turned out much better than the cake. Maybe I'll try an angry bird cake again in the future.

Update
I've been making cakes for 6 years so I have some catching up to do on this blog! Here are a few from the past years that I've made.
Welcome
Welcome! Since I have so much time on my hands I thought I would start a creative blog! Actually the thought came when I volunteered to make a cake for my son's school fundraiser and I wanted a place where people could go to see my work. So there you have it. Now I have started an endeavor to blog my cakes and such.
